Job description

The Business Development Associate is responsible for generating top-of-funnel pipeline by creating access to target accounts and enabling BDM productivity. This role is a production function, not administrative support, and is critical to scaling business development performance.


The Business Development Associate executes the defined territory strategy by partnering with the BDM to generate overall referral growth and increase referral volume. The position makes daily calls to prospective referral sources, creates, develops and maintains relationships and coordinates and supports sales and networking activities.

The territory for this position includes Joliet, Romeoville, Shorewood, IL and surrounding areas. 


Pipeline Generation
• Identify and prioritize target accounts 
• Execute outbound outreach (calls, emails, campaigns) 
• Schedule qualified meetings for BDMs

Account Targeting & Segmentation
• Maintain accurate account lists and segmentation 
• Support territory and pod planning 
• Ensure CRM data integrity

Campaign Execution
• Execute local and regional outreach campaigns 
• Coordinate with marketing initiatives 
• Support event-driven pipeline generation 

Pod Support & Alignment
• Partner with BDMs and Sr. BDMs to align outreach to priorities 
• Focus effort on highest-value opportunities 
• Ensure speed and consistency of follow-up 

Key KPIs
• Qualified meetings scheduled

Minimum Education
Required:
• Associate’s degree or 2 years of equivalent experience in exercise science/physiology, sports/performance training, kinesiology

• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
