Through our family of wellness brands and corporate wellness partnerships, we help humans achieve human greatness by delivering meaningful experiences that support movement, recovery, education, connection, and overall well-being.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Business Development Associate is a new growth-focused role responsible for generating new business opportunities, developing qualified pipeline, closing standard new business opportunities, and supporting the continued growth of the FX Well Wellness Services department.

This teammate will report directly to the Director of Wellness Services and sit within the Revenue/Growth side of the team alongside the Account Managers. The Business Development Associate will identify prospects, conduct outreach, qualify opportunities, lead discovery conversations, support proposals, close standard opportunities, and ensure clean handoffs after the sale.

This is an ideal role for someone who is confident, well-spoken, self-motivated, and energized by building something new. We can teach the wellness and event industry; we need someone who brings sales discipline, strong communication skills, follow-through, and the drive to create new revenue opportunities.

LOCATION AND HYBRID WORK SCHEDULE

This position is based in the Baltimore-Washington, DC Metro area and follows a hybrid work schedule.

This position follows a hybrid work schedule based on business needs, client activity, event volume, and department priorities. Weekly expectations may include time in the office, onsite support with clients, prospects, or wellness events, and the opportunity to work from home as agreed upon with the supervisor.

The schedule may vary based on seasonality, team needs, client meetings, and the growth of the Wellness Services department. The ideal candidate should be comfortable being in the field regularly to observe events, support quality assurance, understand the client experience, and contribute to strong execution across the team.

WHY JOIN FX WELL

  • Help grow a Wellness Services department with national reach, meaningful client impact, and strong momentum.
  • Build new revenue opportunities by connecting corporate, insurance, broker, community, and organizational partners to high-value wellness experiences.
  • Join a growth-minded team where sales, service, operations, and client experience work together.
  • Be part of a culture rooted in accountability, evolution, connection, and helping others achieve human greatness.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • Prospect lists, outreach activity, discovery notes, and pipeline stages are organized, current, and visible.
  • Qualified discovery meetings are consistently generated with prospective corporate, insurance, broker, community, and organizational clients.
  • Standard new business opportunities are closed within approved pricing, service, and operational guidelines.
  • Complex, strategic, high-value, or custom opportunities are escalated and supported appropriately.
  • Closed business is handed off cleanly to Account Management with complete client context, expectations, and commitments documented.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

New Business Development: Identify, research, and prospect new corporate, insurance, broker, community, and organizational opportunities. Build targeted prospect lists, conduct outbound outreach through email, phone, LinkedIn, networking, and referrals, and generate qualified discovery meetings.

Discovery and Qualification: Lead initial discovery conversations, qualify opportunities based on client need, timeline, budget, decision-maker involvement, event type, business line, and operational feasibility, and communicate the value of Wellness Services clearly and professionally.

Revenue Ownership and Closing: Own and close standard new business opportunities within defined service, pricing, and operational guidelines. Partner with the Director of Wellness Services on strategic, complex, high-value, or custom opportunities and consistently advance qualified pipeline.

Account Management Handoff: Ensure clean, complete handoff of closed new business to the appropriate Account Manager, including client goals, decision-maker information, service expectations, timeline, budget, pricing, proposal details, and commitments made during the sales process.

Revenue and Operations Collaboration: Work closely with Account Managers and the Wellness Operations Manager to align on lead ownership, handoff expectations, event feasibility, provider availability, service expectations, lead times, and operational considerations.

CRM, Pipeline, and Reporting: Maintain accurate CRM records, track outreach activity, discovery notes, next steps, opportunity stage, proposal status, projected revenue, and close probability. Participate in weekly revenue/growth meetings and provide visibility into pipeline value, expected close dates, and blockers.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a relationship builder, disciplined prospector, and clear communicator who can help open doors for FX Well Wellness Services. The right candidate is energized by outreach, comfortable creating momentum from scratch, and able to balance confidence with humility, curiosity, organization, and follow-through.

  • Bonus potential: up to $15,000 in the first year based on achievement of new business, pipeline, and performance goals.

  • Bonus eligibility may be tied to qualified opportunities generated, new business revenue closed, sourced revenue that closes through the Director or Account Management team, pipeline growth, CRM accuracy, and quality of handoff.
  • Compensation and bonus potential may increase in future years based on performance, role growth, and business needs.
