Job description

NORTHEAST FACTORY DIRECT

Kitchen Designer & Sales Consultant

Full-Time  |  Northeast Ohio Locations  |  Competitive Pay

Who We Are

Northeast Factory Direct is Northeast Ohio's go-to destination for kitchen cabinetry, countertops, flooring, appliances, closets, hardware, and backsplash tile — all under one roof, at wholesale prices. We design roughly 3,000 kitchens a year for families, flippers, forever-home owners, and everyone in between.

We're not a big-box store. We're not a high-end showroom. We're a team of real designers who genuinely care about helping our neighbors get the kitchen they've always wanted — without the runaround, the markup, or the wait. Our promise to every customer is simple: Easy. Fast. Painless.

We're growing — and we're looking for good people to grow with us.

The Role

As a Kitchen Designer & Sales Consultant at NEFD, your job is to help customers bring their vision to life — not to sell them something. You'll sit down with homeowners, investors, and contractors, listen to what they need, and design a space that fits their style and their budget. You'll guide them from first sketch to final selections, all backed by the fastest lead times and the best prices in the region.

This is a people-first role. The best designers here are the ones who make customers feel heard, confident, and excited — not pressured.

What You'll Do

•  Conduct kitchen and bath design consultations with customers at our showroom

•  Use design software to create layout plans, present cabinet selections, and bring the full vision together

•  Walk customers through product options across cabinetry, countertops, hardware, and more

•  Build lasting relationships — many of our customers come back for their next project or send their friends our way

•  Collaborate with our team to ensure smooth handoffs from design to delivery

•  Stay current on product lines, trends, and promotions so you can always give great guidance

What We're Looking For

•  Experience in kitchen or bath design, interior design, cabinetry, home improvement, or a related field

•  A natural ability to connect with people and earn their trust quickly

•  Some sales or customer-facing experience — you know how to listen before you talk

•  Comfort learning design software (we'll train you on our specific tools)

•  A positive, collaborative attitude — we work as a team here

•  A genuine love for design and helping people transform their spaces

No design degree required — we value the right instincts and work ethic over credentials. If you have the people skills and the passion, we'll teach you the rest.

What We Offer

•  Competitive compensation

•  A high-volume environment where talented designers can thrive — we do more kitchens than anyone else in Northeast Ohio

•  Comprehensive training and ongoing product knowledge support

•  A collaborative, team-first culture where you're supported, not siloed

•  Opportunities to grow with a company that's actively expanding

•  The pride of working for a business that's rooted in the communities we serve

Sound Like You?

We'd love to hear from you. Send your resume and a brief note about why you'd be a great fit to:
