Progesys is a company recognized for its expertise in managing industrial projects and their optimal transition from construction to operation. The company is based in Laval (Canada) since 2002 and has offices in the United States, the Middle East, Asia and South America.

Progesys is currently looking for a Business Development Executive to join the Business Development & Sales team and contribute to the achievement of growth objectives of the assigned region.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute, with assistance and guidance from management, the strategic plan, and initiatives to achieve the Business objectives of Progesys in the assigned region
  • Prospecting and cold calling; key accounts management and sales presentations.
  • Research, qualify and solicit new contacts and new sales and business development opportunities.
  • Plan, develop and organize external meetings, campaigns, seminars, and presentations
  • Work on establishing and maintaining excellent relation with clients, partners, and associations at the different levels within the organizations and work on helping clients achieve their business objectives
  • Understand client's objectives and challenges and build the approach and solutions to help them succeed.
  • Promote the culture, capabilities, and services of Progesys and explain the benefits and ROI to the clients.
  • Represent Progesys on the market by addressing the needs and requirements of the customer, while ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Ensure continuous follow-up with management on progress and account status.
  • Support the director in the proper execution of all external marketing campaigns.
  • Keep sales tools up to date (CRM, account plans etc.), document progress and increase opportunities within accounts.
  • Attend and represent Progesys at trade shows.Participate in professional associations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering 
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in project execution and delivery, in roles such as Project Manager, Project Director, or Commissioning Manager, ideally within the industrial or infrastructure sectors
  • 3 to 10 years of proven experience in business developmentselling consulting or professional services in a project-based environment (engineering firms, project management consultancies, EPCM firms, etc.)
  • Experience working within a consulting firm or project management organization is highly valued
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational level
  • High level of motivation, resilience, and results-driven mindset
  • Demonstrated ability to understand complex client needs and propose tailored, high-value solutions
  • Solid understanding of the capital project life cycle and project management principle
  • Familiarity with the Canadian market and industry landscape
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially PowerPoint) and CRM tools such as Salesforce
  • Proven ability to build trust and credibility with senior decision-makers (VPs, Directors, Executives)
