Aptos ONE (Retail POS) Onshore Lead
Location: Remote (EST)
Short Description :
The Aptos ONE Lead is responsible for end-to-end ownership of Aptos ONE POS delivery, including configuration, store rollout execution, integrations, pilot execution, and scale readiness across retail stores. This role leads to the independent deployment and operationalization of Aptos ONE, ensuring minimal dependency on client teams while aligning with country-specific requirements.
Description
This role owns the functional and technical delivery of Aptos ONE in live retail environments, from design and configuration through pilot rollout, store deployment, validation, and hyper care. The Lead acts as the single point of accountability for Aptos ONE outcomes, coordinating with payments, finance, omni channel, network, and store operations teams.
Responsibilities
- Own end to end delivery of Aptos ONE POS, including configuration, pilot rollout, store deployment, and scale readiness
- Lead Aptos ONE platform configuration (stores, lanes, tenders, taxes, receipts, promotions, feature flags)
- Execute and govern pilot store delivery, including readiness, validation, go live, hyper care, and rollback
- Lead real world POS integrations with payments, Sales Audit, OMS, ERP, and omni channel flows
- Own Aptos ONE change management, including versioning, CAB approvals, deployment, and rollback
- Ensure financial accuracy and audit compliance through transaction validation and reconciliation
- Coordinate store deployments and on-site execution with internal teams and local partners
- Drive operational readiness, hyper care stabilization, and transition to BAU support
- Act as the primary client facing Aptos ONE authority for UK and EMEA deliveries
- Collaborate with EUC/MDM teams to enable scalable, zero touch POS deployments (value add)
Qualifications
- Core Aptos & Retail Experience
- 10+ years in Retail IT / POS implementations
- Strong, Handson experience with Aptos ONE or Aptos POS platforms
- Proven track record of store deployments and rollouts in live retail environments
- Deep understanding of:
-POS transactions
-Payments & tenders
-Sales audit and financial reconciliation
-Omnichannel retail flows
- Delivery & Leadership skills : Experience leading end-to-end POS delivery with clear ownership models
- Ability to lead cross functional teams across IT, store operations, finance, and vendors
- Strong governance, risk management, and decision-making skills
- Nice to Have Experience working in UK and European retail environments. Exposure to country specific fiscal, tax, and compliance requirements
- Nice to Have Exposure to MDM / Zero-Touch POS deployments (Apple, Omnissa, etc.)
