Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and results-orientedย Field Sales & Service Managerย to lead and develop a team of field sales and service professionals. This hands-on leadership role combines sales management, customer relationship management, operational oversight, and team development.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader who enjoys working in the field, coaching teams, driving revenue growth, and ensuring exceptional customer service. This position plays a critical role in expanding market presence, improving customer retention, and achieving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Service
- Lead sales efforts to achieve revenue and growth objectives.
- Conduct customer consultations to assess needs and recommend appropriate service solutions.
- Drive new customer acquisition and support customer retention initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through exceptional service.
- Resolve customer concerns and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and service history within CRM systems.
Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise, coach, and mentor a team of field sales and service professionals.
- Provide ongoing training and performance feedback to support employee growth and success.
- Monitor individual and team performance metrics and implement improvement strategies.
- Conduct regular team meetings and one-on-one coaching sessions.
- Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
Operations Management
- Oversee daily field operations, scheduling, territory assignments, and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with internal departments to support seamless service delivery.
- Manage inventory, equipment, and field resources.
- Review operational reports, service records, and productivity metrics.
Business Development & Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers, business partners, and community stakeholders.
- Support marketing and business development initiatives to drive growth.
- Represent the organization at networking events, trade shows, and community functions when needed.
Additional Responsibilities
- Conduct quality assurance reviews of completed service work.
- Support special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in sales, customer service, or business development.
- Previous supervisory or management experience in a field-based environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and sales-related software.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
Preferred
- Experience in route-based service industries, home services, pest control, property services, or similar field operations.
- Experience managing field teams and customer-facing service operations.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to drive regularly between customer locations.
- Frequently lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and work in various indoor and outdoor environments.
- Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and occasionally in confined spaces.
