Job description

Summary of Job

In collaboration with Sales Representatives, provide sales support in the quoting of new groups.  Assists with presentations of EmblemHealth products to brokers, employers and members, by telephone, in writing, and/or in person.

Responsibilities

  • Jointly facilitate and conduct open enrollment meetings and presentations to prospective members. 
  • Maintain records and oversee sales administrative procedures including new case installation.  
  • Prepare reports and written correspondence, direct materials, complete forms and documents. Processing EmblemHealth RFP's and completing EmblemHealth Benefit Summaries for internal and external sales channels. 
  • Advise Sales Representative on status of prospective business development strategies, competitive intelligence, and all other appropriate information necessary to develop sales opportunities and grow enrollment. 
  • Represent Emblem at various functions, including sales presentations, health fairs, seminars, dinners, etc. 
  • Respond to inquiries, including those conveyed by telephone, in writing, and on-site inquiries from among others, prospective and existing contractors. 
  • Interact with internal and external individuals/groups. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a health insurance field 
  • Licensed NYS Health Agent 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Goal driven 
  • Strong presentation skills 
  • Excellent organizational skills 
  • Ability to multi-task 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills 
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
