About the Team

The Sensors Division develops advanced solutions in radar, space-based sensing, electronic warfare, and underwater acoustics. Within the Space Missions and Sensing (SMS) Sector, we focus on advancing space sensing, space control, and counter-sensing technologies for critical national security missions.

The Role:

In this position, you will design, implement, and operate integrated simulation testbeds for advanced space and defense systems. Your work will include analyzing integrated system performance, developing and executing test plans, and defining system evaluation criteria. You'll collaborate with customers to address key technical challenges and work closely with both research and software teams to integrate simulation and analysis tools.

What you will do:

  • Design and apply cutting-edge models and simulation frameworks to support test and evaluation of algorithms, command & control systems, and deployed software solutions
  • Collaborate with diverse teams and technical leadership to understand system level requirements and broad objectives; summarize progress, report on findings and provide assessments.
  • Support business development initiatives and proposal writing efforts, playing a key role in shaping the proposed technology solutions

Who You Are:

  • This position requires the ability to obtain a secret security clearance, for which U.S. citizenship is needed by U.S. Government
  • BS + 5 years' experience, MS + 3 years, PhD + 2 years, or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or related technical discipline
  • Experience with space defense programs and modeling, sensor systems, platforms, and ground systems
  • Experience in at least two of the following topics:
    • RF/radar signal processing, optimization, waveform design, electronic warfare, machine learning, adaptive signal processing, AI/ML approaches to optimization, model & simulation, systems engineering, test engineering, radar modelling, optics modelling, orbital mechanics, space systems (propulsion, thermal, communications, GNC)
  • Experience providing technical briefs to subcontractors, senior level executives, and customers
  • Proficiency in one or more scientific or mathematical programming languages, such as MATLAB, Python, and C/C++
  • Experienced researcher and team member who is excited to work with mission partners to leverage cutting-edge technology and research for immediate impact
  • Excellent communicator and briefer, who is comfortable communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong mathematical, troubleshooting, written, and verbal communication skills

Even Better:

  • Active Secret or TS/SCI Clearance
  • Experience with industry standard simulation tools such as AFSIM
  • Demonstrated leadership of complex research, development, and engineering efforts
  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical discipline
  • Ability to apply novel, innovative and interdisciplinary approaches to challenging engineering problems

Join us and be part of a team that's making an impact at the forefront of technology and innovation.
