Gastroenterologist:
Job Description:
Saint Joseph's Medical Center is actively seeking a full-time Gastroenterologist to join our team throughout our facilities in Westchester, NY. The position is within a hospital based medical practice with 11 locations throughout Westchester. The physician will see patients in an office setting, clinical setting, and consult within the hospital.

The ideal candidate is a NYS licensed, board-certified Gastroenterologist who will examine and treat diseases, disorders, and ailments of the digestive system, provide diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventive care and health maintenance. You must be motivated, able to work collaboratively with other members of the team, and offer strong diagnostic, assessment, and treatment skills.
Responsibilities:
  • In-Office consults: evaluate, diagnose and provide appropriate treatment and patient care.
  • In-Patient Hospital consults; evaluate, diagnose and provide appropriate treatment and patient care.
  • The Physician shall perform procedures within the Endoscopy Suite of the Hospital
  • The Physician shall provide "on-call" coverage, from the emergency room, hospital medical/surgical floors and the ICU as scheduled by the Chief.
  • Participate in the education of medical students and residents.

Requirements:
  • MD or DO
  • Completion of Gastroenterology fellowship training
  • Hold accreditation from the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterological Association, and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy
  • Board Certified in Gastroenterology
  • New York State medical license
  • Active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration
