Open communication and proactive problem-solving during data migration, system configuration, and user training are crucial to minimizing setbacks. Regular check-ins and documentation also help ensure that the project stays on track and that any issues are addressed promptly.

Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive Accounting Manager who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, identifying opportunities for improvement, and building scalable accounting processes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to make a meaningful impact while growing into a larger leadership role as the organization continues to expand. The ideal candidate is polished, professional, and comfortable taking ownership of the accounting function by establishing accounting policies and procedures, improving workflows, and creating the foundation for long-term success.

Candidates with a combination of public and private accounting experience are highly preferred, although we are open to exceptional professionals with a strong background in either environment. Experience working in multi-location or multi-site organizations such as retail, manufacturing, staffing, distribution, or e-commerce is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.

  • Oversee the general ledger and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting.

  • Establish, document, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to create a scalable and efficient accounting function.

  • Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements that strengthen accounting operations.

  • Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop members of the accounting team.

  • Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial initiatives.

  • Five or more years of progressive accounting experience, with approximately 5–10 years being ideal.

  • Demonstrated success improving accounting processes and establishing scalable policies and procedures.

  • Experience leading or mentoring accounting professionals.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.

  • Experience working in multi-location or multi-site environments is highly desirable.

  • Experience with Sage Intacct is a plus but not required.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • A hands-on approach, strong sense of ownership, and a genuine desire to grow with the organization over the long term.
