JOB DESCRIPTION
LEAD INSTALLER

Position Summary:
The Lead Installer is a senior-level field professional responsible for completing all standard plumbing and drain installations with precision, efficiency, and professionalism. This role requires advanced technical skill, job-site leadership, and the ability to deliver high-quality installations while maintaining safety, code compliance, and customer satisfaction.

The Lead Installer is expected to work independently or lead a helper/installer, complete jobs same-day whenever possible, and represent the company brand at the highest level.


Core Responsibilities

Installation & Technical Execution

  • Perform complete installations for residential and light commercial plumbing and drain systems, including but not limited to:
    • Water heaters (tank & tankless)
    • Sewer line repairs & replacements (spot repairs, trenching support, pipe bursting support)
    • Drain replacements & re-routes
    • Gas line installations and tie-ins
    • Fixture installations (toilets, faucets, disposals, water lines)
    • Cleanouts, venting, and code-required upgrades
  • Interpret job scope, plans, and permits to ensure installations are completed correctly
  • Ensure all work meets local plumbing codes, manufacturer specifications, and company standards

Job Leadership & Execution

  • Lead job sites from start to completion
  • Coordinate helpers, installers, and subcontractors when assigned
  • Ensure jobs are started same-day when sold, unless otherwise approved
  • Manage materials, tools, and job readiness prior to arrival
  • Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites

Quality Control & Compliance

  • Perform final quality checks before job completion
  • Ensure photos, documentation, and close-out notes are completed in the CRM
  • Communicate installation progress, delays, or scope changes to management
  • Maintain a high standard of workmanship to minimize call-backs and warranty issues

Customer Experience

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners and property managers
  • Set expectations regarding timelines, access, and next steps
  • Protect customer property and leave job sites clean
  • Reinforce confidence in the company and the installation provided


Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on plumbing and drain installation experience
  • Strong knowledge of residential plumbing systems and drainage
  • Ability to complete installations independently from start to finish
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Ability to lift 75+ lbs and perform physically demanding work
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading helpers or install crews
  • Familiarity with trenchless sewer solutions
  • Experience working with permits and inspections
