As we continue to pursue new goals, it's an exciting time to join the Bragg team. We are currently hiring a Safety Supervisor for our Midland, TX branch.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Jobsite Inspections: Conduct and document continuous inspections, ensure follow-up on deficiencies, and stop non-compliant conditions or behaviors.
  • Safety Equipment Maintenance: Perform monthly inspections of safety equipment.
  • Incident Management: Assist in incident investigations and basic field-level incident management.
  • Safety Representation: Represent the company at client-sponsored safety meetings and forums.
  • Safety Initiatives Implementation: Implement client/company-driven safety initiatives at the field level.
  • Substance Abuse Screening: Assist in the administration of the site substance abuse screening program.
  • Point of Contact: Serve as the initial point of contact for company and client field personnel.
  • Safety Training: Administer and present craft safety training.

Required Qualifications:
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Industry Experience: 5+ years in construction/maintenance safety, with extensive experience in crane operations, structural steel erection, and rigging.
  • Certifications: OSHA 500, 501, 510, 511, BCSP STS-C.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet functions.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Customer Relations: Excellent customer relationship skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Occupational Safety & Health Safety Management, or a related field.
  • Supervisor Experience: Previous safety supervisory responsibilities within commercial construction, steel erections, crane, and rigging operations.
  • Certifications: CHST or equivalent.

Work Environment:
  • Varied Shifts: Based on operational needs, the candidate must have the capacity to work varied shifts, including nights or split shifts.
  • Safety Sensitive Position: Due to the safety sensitive nature of the role, the candidate must be able to pass initial and random drug screenings.
  • Physical Conditions: Will frequently be required to stand; walk; and sitting at a desk. Must be able to lift 25 pounds and work at heights while utilizing fall protection equipment.
