This role requires a decisive leader who can evaluate complex field conditions, make informed safety decisions, and drive continuous improvement in construction, industrial, and groundwork environments.

The Safety Supervisor also provides leadership and supervision to safety personnel and supports compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.As Safety Supervisor,you will be responsible for leading the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of Argo's safety programs, while also overseeing and coordinating site security activities to ensure the protection of personnel, assets, and operations. What you will do:Conduct comprehensive risk analyses for field operations, including construction, industrial, and groundwork activities, with a strong understanding of hazard identification and mitigation strategies. Serve as the primary decision-maker on safety matters in the field, using sound judgment to address evolving risks and ensure worker protection.Drive execution of corporate safety programs, ensuring consistent implementation and alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements.Partner with operations leadership to integrate safety into daily planning, project execution, and jobsite activities.Develop, implement, and monitor safety plans to ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

Perform routine field audits, inspections, and observations to identify gaps and ensure compliance with safety standards.Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.Provide coaching, training, and ongoing development for field personnel to strengthen safety awareness and capability.Manage and develop safety team members, fostering accountability, leadership growth, and high performance.Provide guidance and training to employees and contractors on safety best practices and procedures. Collaborate with project managers and operations teams to integrate safety requirements into all phases of work. Maintain accurate safety documentation, reports, and records.

Supervise and manage direct safety team members, including performance management, coaching, and development. Promote a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement mindset across all operations.Develop and deliver safety training (e.g., Permit Training, OSHA 10/30, Stop Work Authority, LOTO, and related programs).Plan and execute site-wide safety initiatives, including Safety Month and employee engagement programs.Maintain contractor safety records and manage compliance data to support reporting and audits.Ensure accuracy and upkeep of SDS/MSDS libraries and Emergency Action Plan documentation.Lead and support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action follow-up.Oversee or support plant security programs, access control systems, and security protocol reviews if needed.Coordinate contractor activities, including safety meetings, shutdown planning, and site access requirements if neededParticipate in safety audits, mock OSHA inspections, and emergency drills.Compile and distribute monthly safety reports to corporate leadership if needed.Support Safety and Environmental leadership with projects, committees, and cross-functional initiatives.Develop and communicate safety alerts, best practices, and weekly toolbox talks if needed. Provide backup administrative support for onsite medical functions as needed.

What you will bring:Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Must be proficient to effectively use current Microsoft Office software, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other software programs.Experience in OSHA recordkeeping requirements.Certified in CPR, First Aid/AED and Bloodborne responder, a plus. Ability to obtain and maintain certification required.Minimum of 5 years of experience in field safety management within construction, industrial, or related environments.

Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry safety compliance standards. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
