The Security Supervisor plays a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing the security services within the hospital environment, ensuring the safety and well-being of the premises, staff, patients, and visitors. Key Responsibilities:
  1. Supervision of Patrol and Surveillance:
    • Oversee and coordinate routine patrols of hospital buildings, facilities, and grounds to detect and deter potential security threats.

  2. Crime Prevention Leadership:

Job Requirements: Security Supervisor (Healthcare Setting)
Education and Certifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED: Candidates must possess a valid High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate.
  • BLS (Basic Life Safety): Candidates should have current BLS training certification to ensure preparedness for medical emergencies.
  • New York State Security Guard 8 and 16 Hour Certifications: Candidates must hold valid certifications for both the 8-hour pre-assignment training course and the 16-hour on-the-job training course.
  • State ID Card: Candidates must possess a valid state ID card as evidence of holding the required New York State Security Guard certifications.

Driver's License and Driving Record:
  • Valid Driver's License: Candidates must have a current, valid Driver's License.
  • Clean Driving Record: Candidates should have a clean driving record.
  • DMV Abstract: Candidates must be able to produce a DMV abstract as verification of their driving record.

Additional Licenses:
  • F-01 Fireguard License: Candidates must hold a valid F-01 Fireguard license.
