Job Description

Senior leader for active risk management of Capital working with Corporate Treasury and Finance. Responsible for independent risk oversight of capital interpretation, application and change management. Responsible for a team that has critical impact in overseeing Basel regulatory change implementation and risk management over capital risk appetite and adequacy. Partners with Senior to Executive Leaders in Business Lines to oversee the successful creation, implementation, and maintenance of an effective risk management framework. Accountable for the active identification, response and/or escalation of risks as appropriate.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Typically more than 15 years of applicable experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
  • Considerable understanding of Capital rules and regulations and industry range of practice
  • Considerable understanding of Corporate Treasury and Finance and business line operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls
  • Thorough knowledge of Balance Sheet risk competencies
  • Strong leadership and management skills of processes, projects and people
  • Effective skills at managing stressful situations
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
