Nonferrous Supervisor - Metals Recycling - Base Salary to 65k/year - Atlanta, GA

  • Our client is seeking a Nonferrous Supervisor to oversee daily operations at an Atlanta-area metals processing facility. Reporting to the General Manager, this position will supervise the operations team responsible for receiving, sorting, grading, processing, packaging, and shipping non-ferrous metals.
  • The Nonferrous Supervisor will provide floor-level leadership across yard and production operations, coordinating employees and workflow while supporting safety, quality, productivity, material recovery, and operational performance. Candidates with supervisory experience in ferrous or non-ferrous metal recycling, scrap metal recycling, material processing, manufacturing, or similar industrial operations are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the operations team to support safe and efficient production.
  • Ensure employees are properly trained and follow applicable health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee receiving, inspection, sorting, grading, and processing of non-ferrous metals.
  • Ensure processed materials meet customer quality specifications and are properly packaged for shipment.
  • Coordinate staging, loading, shipping, and movement of outbound materials.
  • Monitor employee productivity, workflow, production performance, and operational KPIs.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility.
  • Identify opportunities to improve safety, operational efficiency, material recovery, and productivity.
  • Coordinate with trading and operations teams regarding customer requirements, material specifications, and shipping needs.
  • Work alongside the operations team as needed to support yard and material-processing activities.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in non-ferrous metal recycling, ferrous metal recycling, scrap metal recycling, manufacturing, warehousing, material processing, or a related industry.
  • Previous experience supervising, leading, or managing an operations, production, warehouse, yard, recycling, or material-processing team.
  • Experience monitoring production, productivity, workflow, or operational KPIs.

Compensation:

  • Base salary in the 55k - 65k/year range, plus medical benefits and 401k
