Job description

Summary/Objective:

FullSpeed Automotive is one of the largest multi-brand automotive service platforms in the country, operating locations nationwide under brands customers know and trust. Every great customer experience starts at the store level — and the Assistant Manager plays a critical role in making that happen every single day.

The Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager in leading day-to-day operations, ensuring the team delivers fast, friendly, and high-quality automotive service while maintaining a safe, clean, and well-run location. This role is hands-on — splitting time between the service bay, the front counter, and the back office — and is a key developmental step for those looking to grow into store leadership.

We are looking for someone who leads by example, takes pride in a job done right, and genuinely enjoys building a team that customers and coworkers can count on.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Support the Store Manager in supervising daily operations, stepping in to lead the location in the manager's absence.

  • Coach, train, and motivate technicians and service advisors to deliver consistent, high-quality service.

  • Assist with scheduling team members to ensure proper coverage during peak hours and busy seasons.

  • Help onboard and train new team members on service procedures, point-of-sale systems, and customer service standards.

  • Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment that reflects FullSpeed Automotive's values.

Customer Experience & Sales

  • Greet customers, explain services, and ensure every visit reflects FullSpeed Automotive's commitment to speed, quality, and trust.

  • Recommend additional services based on manufacturer guidelines and vehicle needs, helping customers make informed decisions.

  • Resolve customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, escalating to the Store Manager when needed.

  • Support efforts to build repeat business through excellent service and genuine customer care.

Store & Shop Operations

  • Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and point-of-sale transactions.

  • Help monitor and maintain inventory levels for parts, fluids, and supplies — placing orders as directed by the Store Manager.

  • Ensure the shop and customer areas are clean, organized, and presentable at all times, reflecting brand standards.

  • Support compliance with all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies.

  • Assist with tracking daily sales, productivity, and key performance metrics, helping the team stay focused on store goals.

Quality & Safety

  • Help ensure all services are performed correctly, safely, and in accordance with brand and manufacturer standards.

  • Conduct or support quality checks on completed work to maintain a high standard of service.

  • Promote a safety-first culture, ensuring team members follow proper procedures for equipment use, chemical handling, and shop safety.

  • Assist in identifying and addressing maintenance needs for shop equipment and facilities.
