Summary:
We are currently seeking a Safety Manager to join our safety team. The Safety Manager plays a key role in developing, assessing, and maintaining policies and procedures that help reduce risk and keep employees safe from harm in the workplace. Safety managers provide training and guidance for workers and ensure that the workplace is in compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the ability to:
  • Identifying then eliminating or mitigating hazards utilizing hierarchy of controls
  • Making frequent tours of the work site. Observing work processes and procedures while engaging employees, correcting safety deficiencies, and coaching
  • Involved in all lockout procedures on site
  • Completing a comprehensive daily safety inspection noting all failures/corrective actions.
  • Perform monthly audits:
    • Rigging Inspection
    • Fall Protection Inspection
    • Assured Grounding Inspection
    • Temporary Power GFCI Inspection
    • ARC Flash PPE Inspection
  • Produce weekly Toolbox Topics Relevant to Jobsite Activities
  • Deliver safety orientation and training sessions to employees
  • Incident & Accident Investigation
  • Injury Case Management

Qualifications
  • 5 years of industrial construction experience
  • OSHA 30, 510 required
  • CSP, OSHA 500 certification preferred
  • Strong Leadership skills. Ability to teach others as well lead and manage a department
  • Comfortable in public speaking settings
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and juggle multiple priorities
  • Proficient with computers, phones, and other office equipment
  • Knowledge of State & Local Codes, CFR 29 1926 & NFPA 70E
  • Knowledge of safety policies, procedures, and requirements
  • Understanding Focus Four and how to utilize the Hierarchy of Controls
