Role: Safety & Compliance Manager

Primary Duties

The Safety & Compliance Manager serves as the voice of safety across Sentry - championing our good people by developing programs, training, and processes that create a strong safety culture, ensure compliance, and support an exceptional employee experience.

  • Develop safety culture both in the factory and in the field through effective training and mentoring programs.
  • Build strong relationships with all employees.
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
  • Develop and partner with Operations leaders to proactively identify and mitigate safety risks.
  • Maintain OSHA compliance and readiness for inspections or audits.
  • Establish and administer Sentry safety training programs to maintain great culture and talent throughout Sentry.
  • Manage the safety and compliance portion of employee orientation to ensure our great employees are set up to succeed at Sentry and understand our culture, core values, and core focus.
  • Partner with leaders to ensure critical processes are FBA (Followed By All) through training, accountability, measurement, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct jobsite and facility safety audits and observations.
  • Track, analyze, and report safety performance metrics and trends.
  • Maintain compliance with customer, contractor, insurance, and regulatory safety requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What do you need?

  • Degree or 6+ years of equivalent experience in Safety/Compliance, Business or a related role.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience conducting OSHA incident investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Experience in construction, manufacturing, industrial, or field-service environments.
  • Ability to influence and coach leaders at all levels of the organization.
