Job description


The Saddle Pad Cleaner aids in overseeing the care, laundry and storage of all racing colors during racing hours.
Responsibilities
  • Will prepare the silks in numerical order for each race.
  • Will laundry all colors
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications
YOU WILL NEED
  • Must have knowledge of thoroughbred racing.
  • Must be able to stand/walk/ sit for extended periods. May be exposed to working in a noisy, smoke/secondary smoke environment.
  • Must be at least 18. Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate licensing. Must be able to pass a background investigation.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to lift and carry objects up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and kneel repetitively
  • Safely work with provided cleaning chemical and equipment
  • Ascend and descend stairs and maintain equilibrium for an extended period
  • Must be able to work from a standing position and/or walking motion for extended period
  • Ability to work in a smoking and pet-friendly environment
