What are Sabines in the context of acoustics?

In acoustics, 'Sabine' refers to a unit of measurement for sound absorption. One sabine is the amount of sound absorption provided by a surface that absorbs all incident sound (an open window, for example) and is used to calculate reverberation time in a room. The concept was named after Wallace Clement Sabine, a pioneer in architectural acoustics, and is crucial in designing spaces with optimal sound quality.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Sabine, and why are they important?

I'm sorry, but 'Sabine' is not a recognized real-world professional occupation, so I cannot provide a relevant answer.
