We’re seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Specialist: V to lead cost control and forecasting efforts within a dynamic, integrated client-contractor environment. Based in Houston, this exciting 18-month + opportunity offers the chance to work on complex projects that shape the future of energy infrastructure. What You’ll Bring to the Table:

  • 10-15 years of cost management experience, with a strong background in oil/gas preferred but not required
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerBi, and PowerQuery for data analysis and reporting
  • Proven ability to lead project cost control, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Skilled in managing change control, commitments, accruals, and cost tracking
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of working within an integrated team of client and contractor stakeholders
  • Self-motivated with a flexible approach to working hours, supporting project needs both weekdays and occasional weekends


Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience working in an oil and gas environment
  • Advanced skills in data visualization and reporting tools beyond the core software (e.g., additional BI tools or software)


Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 10-15 years of relevant cost control and project management experience in similar energy projects


Additional Requirements:

  • Local Houston candidates only—supporting a hybrid work model with occasional overnight visits to Sabine Pass (every 1-2 weeks)
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed to meet project deadlines
  • Reliable transportation for site visits and client meetings
