Role Overview

The Project Manager plays a critical role in leading Neighborly Software’s most complex and strategic SaaS implementation projects. This role will drive delivery for state agencies, large cities, and other enterprise-level customers who require multi-workstream coordination, long timelines, and high levels of accountability.

In addition to customer-facing project work, the Project Manager also supports internal initiatives that strengthen delivery practices and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is an experienced SaaS project manager who thrives in complex environments and can manage multiple large projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Delivery Management
  • Own the full implementation plan for assigned projects, collaborating with Implementation Managers to incorporate configuration, technical, and business requirements.
  • Lead and manage multiple concurrent enterprise-level SaaS implementation projects, each with diverse stakeholders, program types, and workstreams.
  • Establish and maintain clear project governance structures, including meeting cadences, decision frameworks, and communication pathways.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies), and action item trackers.
Stakeholder, Communication & Accountability Leadership
  • Serve as the primary driver of project timelines, accountability, coordination, and follow-through for both clients and internal teams.
  • Deliver high-quality internal and external status reports, executive summaries, and progress updates.
  • Facilitate effective meetings, ensuring decisions are documented, risks are addressed, and next steps are clearly communicated.
  • Build strong relationships with customer stakeholders, including program administrators, technical contacts, and executive sponsors.
Risk Management & Problem Solving
  • Identify risks and blockers early and proactively elevate or resolve them.
  • Guide customers toward best practices based on Neighborly Software capabilities and lessons learned from past implementations.
  • Assess project dependencies across multiple workstreams and collaborate with IMs and technical teams to adjust plans as needed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Implementation Managers and Configuration Specialists to ensure alignment on requirements, expectations, and customer needs.
  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, Client Support, and Strategic Accounts teams when project issues or escalations arise.
  • Partner with Sales during RFP responses and late‑stage opportunities to ensure alignment on scope, implementation approach, and project timelines.
  • Participate in internal process improvements related to project management, governance frameworks, and delivery standards.
Customer Engagement & Onsite Facilitation
  • Lead customer workshops, requirement alignment sessions, and governance meetings as needed.
  • Occasionally travel to client sites for kickoff meetings, discovery, or critical project milestones.
Required Skills & Competencies
  • 10+ years of overall business experience, including at least 5 years leading complex, enterprise‑level SaaS implementation projects.
  • PMP certification required.
  • Strong command of project management methodologies, governance structures, and risk frameworks.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple large projects simultaneously with competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, including executive‑level written and verbal communication.
  • Strong meeting facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to quickly understand software capabilities and translate them into project plans, timelines, and recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across functions, including Product, Sales, Leadership, Development, and Data Operations, to ensure alignment on scope, priorities, and implementation strategy.
  • High accountability, ownership mentality, and a track record of driving teams to meet commitments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with state or local government agencies.
  • Familiarity with housing, community development, or grant‑funded programs (HUD, HCD, DR, etc.).
  • Experience with workflow‑based or case management SaaS platforms.
  • Experience using project management and customer success tools such as Vitally, PlanHat, ClickUp, RocketLane, Monday.com, Jira, Trello, or similar platforms.
Location

Candidates located in Atlanta, GA are preferred and will be expected to work a hybrid schedule with at least one day per week in the office.

Why You’ll Love Working Here:
  • Comprehensive Benefits – Medical, Dental, Vision plan options and Company-Paid Short-Term Disability and Life Insurance
