Description:
The Data Analyst will be responsible for discovering analytics and system integrations requirements,
identifying data sources and criteria needed, documenting specs for developers, testing the output, and
ensuring user acceptance. This position will work directly with internal customers, business process owners, leadership, Business Analysts, and BI, ETL, and Webservices Developers.
The ideal candidate has proven working experience taking a vaguely stated business question and unpacking it into specific requirements, data sources, and criteria. The skillset is a cross between a business analyst working with the customer on requirements discovery and a "data detective" identifying and interpreting data using SQL and analysis skills. Analytical /conceptual/ curious/ problem-solving mindset is an absolute must. Experience writing SQL against complex tables containing historical/future data is a must. Working knowledge of HR data and processes is strongly preferred. Selected candidates will be expected to walk through their data gathering, analysis, and SQL experience in detail.
***This role is 100% remote.**** Candidates outside the State of GA are welcomed.

Education and Experience (required)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Business, Finance, or related field
• 3-4 years performing data analysis
• 3-4 years as a business analyst (working with stakeholders on requirements and business process)
• 2-3 years of experience writing complex SQL queries
Qualifications (required)
• Above average analytical and conceptual thinking; resourceful problem-solving
• Fascination with data, desire to learn new concepts, finds business process and data analysis rewarding
• Expert level SQL skills; experience writing complex queries with multiple table joins, subqueries, and
historical data
• Basic knowledge of database design principles, deep understanding of relational databases
• Familiarity with data warehouse, data mart, ETL, and webservices concepts
• Exposure to reporting tools and some hands-on experience building reports
• Advanced Excel skills (formulas, charts, pivot tables)
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Experience communicating with all levels in the organization in a clear and concise manner using non-
technical language
• Excellent documentation skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong experience working with HR data and processes (PeopleSoft preferred or similar HR systems)
