Pay Range: $27.47 - $38.81 per hour

Summary:
The Program Manager is responsible for management of pre-clerkship curriculum. Each course within the curriculum represents its own project with several stakeholders, contributors, communication requirements, and end users. The Program Manager works with a variety of faculty (PhD and MD) and staff to coordinate their efforts and recommends methods for continually improving the process to make it more efficient and increase value. The individual who holds this position exemplifies the Rush mission, vision, and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.
Required Job Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree required.
•At least three years of program management experience required.
•Strong project management skills.
•Strong planning and implementation skills, including problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
•Ability to work both independently and as part of multi-functional, multi-organizational team.
•Demonstrated results in managing through complex systems and proven experience negotiating win-win agreements.
•Experience working with multiple stakeholders who may have conflicting priorities.
•Experience working with diverse teams.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to details.
•Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and Google Apps Suite, with strong spreadsheet and database skills (AirTable).
Preferred Job Qualifications:
•Master’s degree.
•Experience in the education space or academic medical center.
•Experience working with faculty members.
Responsibilities:
•Organizes and implements each course of the pre-clerkship curriculum. This includes content development, schedule development, assessment, and production of curricular artifacts.
•Manages multiple projects simultaneously.
•Defines project goals, deadlines, and timeline in consultation with stakeholders.
•Defines and documents status of the projects, deliverables, and timelines and provides communication with senior stakeholders.
•Identifies the resources needed (including budget, personnel) to achieve program goals.
•Facilitates and participates in routine team meetings to manage requirements, assess achievement of milestones, and schedule. Provides a Work Breakdown schedule.
•Coaches and mentors other members of the team and external stakeholders to facilitate their ability to complete the assigned work.
•Defines and troubleshoots problems as they arise. Proactively manages potential scope and schedule changes to eliminate or minimize.
•Instills a sense of accountability among team members by modeling tight oversight of individual and organization performance standards.
•Works with staff to develop objective performance measurements across all programs to ensure consistent, high-quality evaluation.
•Perform other related duties as assigned.
