Description

Ringgold County Hospital (RCH), a county-owned Critical Access Hospital located in Mount Ayr, Iowa, is seeking a dynamic and collaborative Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead our organization into its next chapter of growth, stability, and excellence.

For more than 75 years, RCH has proudly served residents of Ringgold County and surrounding communities by providing compassionate, high-quality healthcare close to home. RCH is seeking a visionary healthcare executive who will partner with the Board of Trustees, medical staff, leadership team, employees, and community members to strengthen and advance the future of rural healthcare.

Requirements

Required:

  • Progressive healthcare executive leadership experience
  • Hospital leadership experience
  • Demonstrated success in strategic planning, financial oversight, and organizational leadership
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills

Preferred:

  • Critical Access Hospital experience
  • Master’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, nursing, public health, or related field
  • Previous CEO experience or experience serving in a senior executive role (CFO, CNO, COO, etc.)

Ringgold County Hospital

Services provided by our 16-bed critical access hospital have expanded far beyond inpatient care. We now provide same-day outpatient surgeries, infusion therapy, cardiopulmonary rehab, physical therapy, sleep studies, medical imaging, and more.

The hospital also owns and operates the Ringgold County Ambulance Service and the Mount Ayr Medical Clinic. We also regularly host specialty outpatient clinics, so our patients have access to thespecialist care they need, when and where they need it. We are continually adding new services and equipment as resources permit, so we can continue to serve as your partner in health.

Mount Ayr Medical Clinic is our rural health clinic located within Ringgold County Hospital. The current facilities were built in 2009 and features modern, large, and spacious. The physicians at Mount Ayr Medical Clinic treat patients of all ages between the hours of 7 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday. The clinic also functions much like an urgent care facility, treating those without life-threatening symptoms but who require immediate medical attention.

Community

Mount Ayr is located near the Iowa - Missouri border and is the county seat of Ringgold County, Iowa. Surrounding communities include Diagonal, Kellerton, Tingley, Ellston, Beaconsfield, Redding, Delphos, Maloy, Sun Valley Lake, and Benton.

Ringgold County is a popular destination for hunters and anyone who enjoys the outdoors. Local parks, museums, and lakes provide a wide range of recreational opportunities. In the Mount Ayr area, you can fish, boat, cross-country ski, run trails, and more. The City of Mount Ayr welcomes you to explore the Lucky Lanes bowling alley, Princess Theater, Judge Lewis Park and its outdoor swimming pool, Mount Ayr Golf & Country Club, and several county parks. There are many shops and restaurants that appeal to a variety of tastes and interests located close to the town square business district.
