Job description

Touchdown, a Ruder Finn company, is seeking a highly motivated Senior Account Executive (SAE) for its expanding team. In this position, you will be responsible for supporting a diverse portfolio of B2B technology accounts in sectors such as AI, cybersecurity, cloud computing, HR Tech, IT technology services and SaaS.

As an SAE, you will be an integral part of a diverse creative team, utilizing your experience in media research, presentations, and project coordination to achieve the clients' goals.
Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a client contact; continually foster client-agency relationship to build trust and become a valuable resource to clients
  • Conduct media relations efforts, including thorough media monitoring, proactively flagging relevant trends and articles, developing media lists, pulling analysis reports using tools such as Cision, Google Alerts, etc., and conducting media outreach
  • Identify media contacts in technology and business outlets, build relationships and secure coverage
  • Effectively develop full range of written materials including press releases, byline articles, speeches, client correspondence and reports
  • Write, edit, and proofread high-quality content including press releases, social media and blog posts, pitch letters, fact sheets, speeches, presentations, and client correspondence
  • Solid understanding of client business and their competitive environments, including business strategy, products and services, key customers and competitors
  • Support daily interaction with clients and prospects, work collaboratively with team members to achieve client objectives, help develop strategic recommendations, anticipate challenges and ensure deadline and budget are met

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience within the PR, Communications, Media or Technology industry preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or Technology-related field preferably, or a related field
  • Excellent writing, verbal and presentation skills with the ability to speak with high-level executives internally and externally
  • Detail-oriented, organized and dedicated; proactive and enthusiastic with an ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines; a self-starter
  • Display and encourage creativity and innovation in self and others
  • Strong experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
