What You'll Do
As Resident Project Representative II, you'll serve as the engineer's on‑site agent-leading inspections, documentation, and materials testing oversight to help contractors deliver civil infrastructure projects safely, on schedule, and in compliance with the contract documents.
  • Study and understand the requirements of project contract documents in at least one discipline.
  • Oversee inspections and testing required by the contract documents.
  • Communicate inspection results to contractors, suppliers, Construction Administrators, and client representatives.
  • Monitor contractor activities for compliance with contract documents.
  • Review contractor pay requests, testing invoices, and miscellaneous invoices as required.
  • Use accepted procedures and reporting documents with Construction Administrators and technical staff.
  • Assist Project Managers and/or Construction Administrators on assigned projects.
  • Mentor and train RPR I as needed.

Who We're Looking For:
Minimum Requirements:
  • Six years of experience in construction procedures and materials testing
  • A strong understanding of relevant engineering design AND two years of experience with construction procedures
  • A technical background in construction and/or design

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Thorough knowledge of state and/or local construction and building guidelines; ability to interpret construction contracts, provisions, plans, and specs.
  • Knowledge of utility construction practices (water/sewer lines, pump stations, subsurface structures) for water/wastewater projects.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); strong written communication and documentation skills.
  • Interpersonal skills, sound judgment, decision-making, and foresight to anticipate issues; clear speech and professional demeanor.
  • Experience mentoring junior field representatives and coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and client representatives.
