RPI Print is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Customer Solutions/Inside Sales Representative to drive growth within Large Order Services, a fast-growing division, through high-quality inbound lead conversion. This is an entry-level role with a clear path for advancement, ideal for someone eager to build a career in consultative, solutions-based sales within the publishing and print industry.


This role serves as the first point of meaningful contact for prospective customers - guiding them from inquiry to decision, understanding their business goals, and recommending the right combination of products and services to help them succeed. This role is an opportunity to develop solutions selling skills in a specialized, technology-enabled environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Meet revenue targets within an expected sales margin while balancing company goals with an exceptional customer service experience.
  • Develop an understanding of the book printing process and effectively communicate that information to customers.
  • Manage multiple customers, projects, and timelines simultaneously.
  • Maintain active sales pipeline, including incoming projects and revenue estimates, using Salesforce or other assigned platforms.
  • Act as an internal liaison by partnering with production teams to ensure deadlines and customer expectations are met.
  • Provide customer product support directly or and follow projects through delivery.
  • Conduct timely follow up with customers regarding quotes, project milestones, completed projects, and feedback opportunities while maintaining strong business relationships.
  • Provide prospective customers with quotes, coupons, sales agreements, and order placement assistance.
  • Develop a strong understanding of our product structure, processes, and methodology to advise customers on the best ways to complete their projects.
  • Communicate with team on current business, trends, identifying both positive and negative impacts on the business.
  • Contribute to team discussions on strategy with focus on business growth and participate in development projects where appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work with many types of customers and varied needs.
  • Excellent task management and organizational skills while handing many moving parts and projects.
  • A strong desire to help customers while maintaining good business practices.
  • Experience working with CRM platforms a plus.
  • A desire to learn and absorb information about book printing, solutions-selling, and related businesses.
