Sub-specialty: Physician Assistant - Interventional Radiology
Department: Radiology
Reports to: Medical Director
Location: CIR - Terre Haute, IN
POSITION OVERVIEW
Radiology Partners, Indiana (CIR) is a subspecialty practice providing service in the Indiana towns of Terre Haute and Clinton. The practice serves Union Health- a 380 bed, level III trauma facility and Clara Fairbanks Women's Center in Indiana, a Tort Reform state. RP IN-CIR is a boutique sub-specialized, diversified, state of the art private practice.
Radiology Partners Indiana - CIR is seeking an Interventional Radiology Physician Assistant who will assist the attending Radiology team in the management of patients at Union hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana. Responsible for participation in departmental and hospital programs for quality assessment and improvement, identifying opportunities to improve services, making recommendations, and implementing actions as appropriate and consistent with Radiology Partners goals.
POSITION SUMMARY
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday | 7:30am - 4:00pm EST
  • No Call
  • No Weekends
  • No major Holidays

Perform or assist with the following procedures:
  • PICC Lines
  • Paracentesis/thoracentesis
  • Lumbar Punctures
  • FNA Bx
  • Perform physical examinations, determine medical histories, diagnose, and treat illnesses and/or injuries
  • Develop and implement patient management plans and record progress notes
  • Field phone calls from patients, referring physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals regarding patients to identify potential areas of concern in the medical management of the patients
  • Educate patients on their medical care
  • Other duties as assigned

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Licensed as a Physician Assistant in the state of Indiana
  • Graduate AMA accredited program
  • Critical Care experience a plus ; New grads welcome
  • Certification by the National Commission of Physician Assistants or ANCC
  • Certified to perform Basic Life Support and ACLS
