Royalty refers to individuals who belong to a royal family, typically holding hereditary titles and positions within a monarchy. These individuals often serve as ceremonial leaders, representing their nation at public events and conducting official duties. The position requires a strong commitment to data integrity, documentation, and audit readiness, ensuring that all royalty reporting can be fully traced, reconciled, and supported from source data through final report submission.

These licenses will typically consist of smaller or less complex agreements for which the analyst serves as the primary point of accountability.
  • Support the preparation and review of royalty reports for larger and more complex licensing agreements by performing data extraction, validation, reconciliations, and analytics. Collaborate with the Royalty Reporting Manager and other team members to ensure the timely and accurate completion of all royalty reporting obligations across the broader license portfolio.
  • Extract, analyze, and validate sales and revenue data from ERP, Business Intelligence/Unified Data Platform, and other reporting systems used in royalty calculations.
  • Reconcile royalty reporting data to the general ledger and other financial reporting sources to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve data and master data discrepancies, variances, and reporting exceptions through detailed analysis and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Analyze large volumes of transactional revenue data across multiple business units, legal entities, countries, and sales channels.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytical tools that enhance visibility into licensed product performance and royalty obligations.
  • Partner with Finance, IT, Commercial Operations, and Master Data teams to improve reporting processes, data integrity, and system efficiencies.
  • Support royalty audits by preparing schedules, gathering supporting documentation, responding to information requests, and maintaining audit-ready records.
  • Identify opportunities to automate reporting, improve controls, and leverage Business Intelligence and AI tools to increase efficiency and reporting accuracy.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of business processes, master data structures, and the flow of information from order entry through revenue recognition.
  • Consistently adhere to strict reporting deadlines and effectively manage multiple priorities across numerous licensing agreements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • 1 - 5 years of experience in financial analysis, royalty reporting, accounting, revenue reporting, data analytics, or a related discipline; experience in a large multi-national company preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, Power Query, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and analysis of large datasets.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools, preferably Power BI; demonstrated use of AI.
  • Understanding of ERP systems and associated data structures, such as Oracle, SAP, or similar platforms.
  • Strong ability to analyze, reconcile, and validate large volumes of transactional and financial data.
  • Experience reconciling operational reporting to financial records and the general ledger.
  • Strong problem-solving and investigative skills with the ability to identify root causes of data discrepancies.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting critical deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with SQL, database concepts, data modeling, or reporting automation is preferred.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, commitment to accuracy and follow-through, and ability to work independently within a collaborative team environment.
