We have current openings for Laborers for our infrastructure projects at the DFW Airport
The Laborer plays a key role working with and alongside other skilled trades working on underground excavation for underground utilities pipe installation.
Success in the position is achieved through the following duties & responsibilities:
  • Mobilization and demobilization of the jobsite; set-up, break down, staging, clean up, etc.
  • Assisting electricians and operating engineers in the placement of underground utilities.
  • Perform concrete work including pours and form work.
  • Perform basic general labor procedures such as shoveling, trenching, grading, cribbing, lifting and carrying heavy materials, loading and unloading trucks.
  • Operate and maintain good care of tools and company vehicles
  • Assist other crew members, operators, and other skilled labor when needed
  • Backfill trenches and pits, hand dig, use of shovels
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested by the supervisor

Requirements
  • 2+ years of general experience as a laborer in the construction industry
    • Experience with airfield, underground utilities, or civil a plus
  • Basic understanding of construction principles and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 75lbs
  • Must have experience working with duct banks and conduit
  • Experience working with concrete pouring/forming a plus
  • Class A CDL license is preferred
  • Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job
  • While performing the duties of this job, employees must be able to regularly sit or stand, movement to include, but not limited to, walking, bending, reaching above/below shoulder, crouching, carrying, pushing.

Special Considerations:
  • Must be eligible to drive and operate Royal Electric vehicles
  • Must be eligible to pass airport badging process
  • OSHA 10 Certification
  • Willing to travel throughout Texas

Pay Rate Considerations:
  • Based on experience $22 - $30/hour
    • This is a non-exempt role.
