We have a current opening for a Manufacturing Engineer II in our Sacramento, CA office.

Success in the position is achieved through the following duties & responsibilities:

Produce Quality Products to Support Field Operations 

  • Interface with internal teams and suppliers to ensure that production requirements are met and correctly documented. 
  • Comply with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment. 
  • Successfully handle the quality audit process including planning, preparing, executing, reporting results, and following up.  
  • Ensure products meet the standards below: 
  • Products are free from defects. 
  • Products are produced in a timely manner. 
  • Products are made in cost efficient manner. 

Team Management 

  • All members are contributing to their tasks. 
  • All members feel supported in their role. 
  • All members feel challenged in their role to produce quality work. 
  • Tasks are delegated to the most capable team member to accomplish them. 

Provide Engineering Services 

  • Provide support and expertise to help solve challenging problems. 
  • Produce engineering drawings with industry leading quality.  
  • Participate in process improvement planning in a team-based environment. 
  • Analyze non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions. 
  • Build and maintain a Royal Electric Library of resources and systems. 
  • Develop and maintain required production metrics.  

Increase Process Efficiency 

  • Analyze existing systems and find areas of inefficiencies. 
  • Collaborate with field operations to find unique ways to assist them in project completion. 
  • Provide tools that increase efficiency and make field operations easier. 
  • Create office tools for field and office staff that save time and decrease errors. 
  • Create physical tools to save time and increase accuracy for field team. 

Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with at least 3 years of manufacturing or fabrication experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience 

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to read and understand construction plans and specs. 
  • Understand the construction process.  
  • Ability to conceptualize field requests into efficient solutions.    
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.  
  • Ability to QC products to meet the Royal Electric quality standard.  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and have excellent follow-up skills internally and externally.  
  • Must be detail-orientated and well organized. 
  • Ability to work with a team and independently.  
  • Ability to effectively delegate tasks to a team.   

Safety & Physical Requirements:

  • Proper use of PPE 
  • Must comply with all safety standards and procedures. 
  • Will lift, carry, push, bend, pull, kneel, and reach.  
  • Sit, stand, and walk during the duration of the workday. 
  • Ability to operate tools and equipment safely.  
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.   

Salary Range:

  • $85,000/year - $110,000/year
    • This is an exempt position.
