Route Service Technician

Alpine Specialty Services | Mountlake Terrace, WA

Pay: $22.00 per hour base plus commissions and performance bonuses, with earning potential up to $28.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM Start
No Experience Required | Paid Training | Local Routes

Learn a Trade While Earning Up to $28 per Hour

Alpine Specialty Services is hiring a Route Service Technician to join our Mountlake Terrace team. This is a unique hands-on position combining local route driving, customer service, and professional area rug cleaning.

No rug cleaning experience is required. We provide paid training and teach you everything you need to know.

You will pick up rugs from customers throughout the Puget Sound area, professionally clean them at our Mountlake Terrace facility, and deliver the finished rugs back to their owners. If you like staying active, working independently, and having variety in your day, this could be a great fit.

What You'll Do
  • Drive a company van on local routes to customers' homes

  • Pick up and deliver area rugs throughout the Puget Sound area

  • Wash, rinse, dry, groom, inspect, and wrap rugs

  • Learn proper cleaning techniques for different rug materials and construction

  • Tag and track rugs throughout the cleaning process

  • Assist walk-in customers with drop-offs, pickups, and payments

  • Receive, organize, and stock supplies

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

  • Update jobs and customer information using a tablet

  • Provide friendly, professional customer service

What We're Looking For
  • Valid Washington driver's license with an insurable driving record

  • Comfortable driving a company van on local routes

  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds and move rolled rugs

  • Dependable and punctual

  • Organized with strong attention to detail

  • Comfortable interacting with customers

  • Willingness to learn a hands-on trade

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

No previous rug cleaning experience is necessary.

Experience in delivery driving, route service, warehouse operations, cleaning, restoration, moving, field service, or other hands-on work is helpful but not required.
