Position Summary:

CLS is in search of a dedicated Route Manager to join our team. As a Route Manager at CLS, you'll be responsible for ensuring smooth deliveries, handling service requests, and driving team performance in collaboration with the District Service Manager (DSM). This position entails training and coaching Route Service Professionals (RSPs) while upholding high service standards. You will be recognized as the expert on all routes within your area.

Being that expert means you'll spend most of your time in the field supporting routes and making service calls with customers. While there may be a week where you are on-site, there will also be periods where you are working on various local routes for several weeks at a time. Flexibility and adaptability are essential for success in this role.

The RM will be asked to find better ways of working, make sure everything gets done properly, and offer wide-ranging support in customer relations, safety, team growth, and putting plans into action.

Working Conditions
Work is performed both in the office and in the field, using a computer or tablet, telephone, copier, and other office equipment. Traveling to different customer locations is required and the greatest time spent in this position. Occasionally there is a need to run to a different CLS location, using a company vehicle.

Preferred candidate will demonstrate abilities/experience:
  • An effective communicator with strong verbal and non-verbal skills
  • Good attention to detail with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to drive up to 10 hours a day
  • Capable of pushing or pulling large wheeled laundry carts and lift up to 30 lbs repetitively and 75 lbs occasionally.
  • One year of Customer Service experience required
  • Chauffeur License and Clean Driving record required
  • Prior Route experience is a plus
  • Route Truck / Box Truck / Step Van / Service Van
  • Hand Truck / Forklift / Pallet Jack
