Job Title: Solutions Architect – Lead
Contract Type: 6-Month Contract (Hybrid)

Position Overview
Client is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect – Lead to join a high-performing engineering team focused on data migration to Gen 3 and other ad hoc development initiatives. This is a 6-month contract-only role that has been financially approved, with no conversion eligibility required.
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise across modern programming languages, cloud platforms, and architecture design, and will preferably have prior Capital One experience.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable, secure, and cloud-native solutions.
  • Architect and guide the data migration to Gen 3, ensuring performance, resiliency, and alignment with Capital One’s cloud standards.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, data, and product teams to define technical requirements and solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of 5 developers.
  • Contribute to application modernization, API development, and cloud integration efforts.
  • Drive continuous improvement, automation, and adherence to best practices in Agile and DevOps.
 
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Proven expertise in Node.js, Go, and Python for backend development.
  • Advanced proficiency with AWS services and cloud architecture patterns.
  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture, API integration, and serverless frameworks.
  • Experience in leading technical teams and providing architectural oversight.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
 
Work Model
  • Hybrid schedule: 3 days Onsite, 2 days Remote
  • Office attendance: Monday–Thursday optional onsite, Friday dedicated WFH day.
  • Preferred location: Plano, TX (other Capital One office locations considered).

  • Round 1: 1-hour technical panel including a live coding challenge.
