Job description

This per diem travel pharmacist opportunity serves a small, rural community health center focused on patients primarily over 50 years old. The pharmacy dispenses approximately 120-130 prescriptions daily and operates with two experienced pharmacy technicians. The setting offers a supportive, patient-centered environment to apply your skills in community health.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately verify and dispense prescriptions
  • Provide counseling to patients on medication use and health management
  • Supervise and coordinate pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth operations
Schedule & Hours:
  • 1st shift
  • Monday to Thursday: 9:00am - 5:30pm
  • Friday: 9:00am - 4:00pm
  • No weekend hours
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Active and clear Texas pharmacist license required
  • Previous community health or retail pharmacy experience preferred
  • Strong communication and patient interaction skills
