Amalgamated Sugar Company Twin Falls, Idaho Job Type: Full-time | On-site
Job Summary Amalgamated Sugar Company, a leader in innovation in the sugar industry, is seeking an experienced Industrial Welder for our Twin Falls, Idaho facility. This heavy-duty labor position involves performing a variety of welding and fabrication tasks throughout the sugar factory and its properties in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The hourly rate for this position is between $33.28 and $37.13.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform welding on both carbon steel and stainless steel in an industrial factory setting
  • Work rotating 12-hour shifts (6:00 AM - 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM)
  • Work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis as required
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Climb stairs and ladders while performing duties
  • Work in extreme temperatures (hot and cold), both indoors and outdoors
  • Read and comprehend written instructions including safety procedures, safety signs, schedules, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), and manufacturing standards
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness in all work areas
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must successfully pass the ASME 6G factory welding test (carbon steel and stainless steel)
  • Must be able to reliably commute to Twin Falls, ID or plan to relocate before starting work

Schedule
  • 12-hour rotating shifts (days or nights)
  • Weekend and holiday work required
