About the Role

Reporting to the Vice President, North America Human Resources, the Director will drive the establishment and development of the General Management Leadership Development Program, which will support future pipeline of leaders within LexisNexis Legal and Professional.

Responsibilities

  • Create and scale a General Management Leadership Development Program that serves as the company's primary source of future General Managers, Business Unit Leaders, Operational talent and Strategy leads. Design and launch a world-class General Management Leadership Development Program

  • Establish program vision, operating model, governance, and success metrics

  • Develop participant selection criteria and assessment methodologies

  • Create rotational frameworks and developmental experiences

  • Design program branding, value proposition, and long-term growth strategy

  • Build a sustainable talent pipeline model that aligns with enterprise succession needs

Executive Partnership & Talent Planning

  • Partner with executive leadership to identify future talent needs

  • Work directly with General Managers, functional leaders, and business presidents to develop meaningful rotational assignments

  • Secure executive sponsorship and engagement across the enterprise

  • Facilitate talent reviews and participant placement discussions

  • Ensure participants receive high-impact assignments with measurable business outcomes

University & Talent Pipeline Development

  • Develop strategic relationships with leading universities and business schools

  • Establish partnerships with faculty, career centers, honors programs, and student organizations

  • Create annual campus engagement and recruiting strategies

  • Build a differentiated employer brand that attracts high-potential leadership talent

  • Represent the company at recruiting events, conferences, leadership forums, and university programs

Recruitment & Selection

  • Lead recruitment efforts for annual cohorts

  • Design candidate assessment processes

  • Evaluate candidates for leadership potential, learning agility, business acumen, initiative, and cultural impact

  • Partner with executives on final selection decisions

  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience

  • For the inaugural cohort, recruit and hire 5-10 participants for future program entry.

Leadership Development & Participant Experience

  • Design onboarding experiences and development journeys

  • Create leadership curriculum and learning experiences

  • Coordinate executive speakers, mentorship programs, and networking opportunities

  • Establish coaching and sponsorship frameworks

  • Monitor participant performance and development throughout the program

  • Support post-program placement and career progression

AI-Enabled Talent Innovation
  • Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to improve recruiting, assessment, learning, and talent development

  • Ensure program participants develop practical AI fluency and understand how AI is reshaping business leadership

  • Identify innovative approaches to talent management and leadership development

  • Serve as an advocate for experimentation, learning, and modernization

Program Operations & Continuous Improvement

  • Manage program budget and resources

  • Measure program outcomes and effectiveness

  • Track retention, promotion rates, inclusive representation, and leadership pipeline impact

  • Continuously improve program design based on participant and executive feedback

QualificationsRequired
  • Bachelor's degree required

  • 12-15 years of experience in one or more of the following: Human Resources, General Management, Leadership Development, Talent Management, Consulting, Executive Development, High-Potential Talent Programs

  • Demonstrated track record of success in large, complex global organizations

  • Collaborative and humble approach to work

  • Naturally attracts exceptional talent and builds trusted relationships

  • High initiative and ability to work quickly in a change-rich environment

  • Demonstrated ability to work with and influence senior leaders; builds credibility
