How youโ€™ll make an impact
Vital to supporting our operations, your work as aย Millwrightย in industrial maintenance ensures efficiency for production. Your expertise helps maintain smooth operations thereby increasing productivity and reducing costs.
Hourly rate:ย $43.53 per hour, plus shift premiumย 
Please note this role is a continental rotating shift (12 hour shifts rotating between days and nights).
Job Responsibilities
  • To complete work orders and general preventative maintenance on all machines. Identifying and troubleshooting machine irregularities and breakdowns, assemble equipment and machinery.
  • To install and repair mechanical equipment and systems
  • Observes all safety rules and maintains an orderly workplace.ย  Works from blueprints, machine/ diagrams, schematic designs, shop orders, instructions and ideas
  • Plans with supervision proposed mechanical work during planned shutdowns. Maintains inventory of mechanical supplies and equipment and requisitions, as necessary
  • Installs, dismantles, examines, repairs, reconditions, rebuilds/overhauls and re-installs mechanical systems and equipment such as motors, gear boxes, drives, chains, pulleys, hydraulic components, air systems, filtration, aids and / or performs predictive maintenance. Gathers information for replacement parts
  • Machine commissioning on scheduled basis
  • Examines and repairs all equipment when required for continuous plant operation
  • Makes minor adjustments to and lubricates tools and equipment used
  • Performs preventative maintenances on required equipment and scheduled work as required
  • Performs 5s related tasks
  • Communicate effectively with other team members and maintenance supervisor
  • Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand tools, measuring equipment, power tools and welding equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance work on all machinery
  • Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures
  • Capable of holding crane, forklift, elevated work platform and confined space training licence
  • Working continental shift rotations
Qualifications:
  • Must hold a Provincial licence required for Industrial Mechanical/Millwright (433A)
  • Proof of completion of Certificate of Apprenticeshipย issued by Skilled Trades Ontario
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Great attendance
  • Ability to work in a team environment and individuallyย 
  • Mechanically inclined
