Assurance & Advisory Management Program Senior Analyst

Position Purpose:
The Home Depot is always striving to deliver outstanding customer service, drive improvement and develop talent that will grow our business into the future. For individuals who are results oriented and interested in developing leadership skills within a dynamic team-focused environment, we offer our Assurance and Advisory Management Program (AMP).

Ensuring significant business exposure, this program includes rotations through a variety of challenging auditing and consulting assignments, providing learning opportunities in areas such as leadership, finance, operations, merchandising, IT, interconnected retail, global sourcing and supply chain.

AMP associates review areas of controllership, perform risk assessments and evaluate business/operational processes to identify process improvement/cost out opportunities and mitigate risks. AMP is designed to drive continuous improvement in the Company while developing the career and leadership skills of associates in the program.
Position Responsibilities:
โ€ข Project Management: Develop and execute a project plan for a specified segment of a project; Execute and deliver key tracks or segments of a project; Understand objectives, identify resources, meet set timelines, communicate results and present deliverables.
โ€ข Personal Development: Create status reports for management and other associates on project progress; assist with presentations and attend meetings; Hold regular development discussions with management; Promote continuous learning.
โ€ข Process Analysis/Problem Solving: Determine the objectives and risks of core and support processes that support a business strategy; Create a process map and identify critical success factors; Use data/metrics to measure the risk within the process and the impact of controls on the process opportunities; Evaluate the effectiveness of controls; Identify sustainable solutions to fix the breakdowns.
โ€ข Data Collection and Analysis: Identify sources of data (operational, financial, industry, etc.); Gather, analyze, and manipulate data; Review data for trends and exceptions and draw sound conclusions; Use statistical data tools to graphically display and analyze results; Review and create cost/benefit analysis and financial/data models with limited supervision.
โ€ข Change Management (Building Relationships): Accept and help facilitate change by understanding the vision, assist management with developing a strategy to ensure that the change lasts; Identify and remove barriers; Lead in implementing changes, developing training, creating rewards/measurements.

Experience/Knowledge Required:
โ€ข Must fulfill minimum time-in-position and performance management expectations (meets expectation).
โ€ข Ability to work with large data sets and perform analysis to determine trends/exceptions
โ€ข Advanced Problem solving and analytical skills with previous modelling experience
โ€ข Strong written and verbal communication skills; Ability to communicate with executive management

โ€ข Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
โ€ข Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work
โ€ข Ability to work in ambiguous situations with minimal direction

โ€ข Genuine curiosity and desire to learn new processes and systems
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree required
โ€ข Background in Finance/Accounting, Engineering or Consulting preferred

โ€ข Prior audit and/or process improvement experience is a plus
โ€ข 2-4 years of work experience or advanced degree equivalent experience
โ€ข Knowledge of analytical / presentation tools including Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, GBQ (SQL) and Microsoft Visio

โ€ข Overnight travel may be required infrequently
