Job description

Through technical capstones, hackathons, and solution-oriented projects, you'll strengthen both your technical expertise and leadership capabilities.

The Technology Leadership Program is a two-year rotational development experience designed for graduating students ready to begin their careers in technology. Participants complete three eight-month rotations across different IT teams, gaining exposure to diverse technologies, business areas, and challenges while building the skills needed to grow as future technology leaders at Vanguard.

In this program, you will:
  • Design, build, and enhance applications that support Vanguard's internal systems and client-facing platforms
  • Develop scalable solutions using modern technologies, including cloud, APIs, and full-stack development
  • Take ownership of projects and contribute to delivering high-impact outcomes for the business
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, product teams, and business partners
  • Apply Agile methodologies to deliver solutions in a fast-paced, iterative environment
  • Participate in technical capstones, hackathons, and innovation-focused initiatives
  • Build relationships with peers, mentors, and leaders across Vanguard
  • Meet regularly with your department manager and program manager to receive personalized coaching and mentorship
What it takes:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree with a concentration in computer science, computer engineering, IST, IT, CIS, or related technical/engineering subject matter required
  • Strong interest in application development, including web, mobile, or backend systems
  • Familiarity with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript)
  • Experience with coding languages preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and/or leadership aspirations
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher preferred
