Basic Job Functions:
The role of the Rebar Fabricator is to drive positive results in the Production Department to meet all NRF Division goals and continuously build a World-Class Rebar Fabrication facility to take care of Nucor's Customers.
This will include, but is not limited to:
• The safe, effective operation of all fabrication and material handling equipment. This includes equipment to cut, bend, thread, and maneuver (overhead crane and forklift) concrete reinforcing bar
• Taking pride in housekeeping and the NRF - Riverside appearance
• Executing projects to completion
• Aiding the Production Leads and Supervisor
• Any other tasks assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
• High school diploma or GED
• Willingness to work unplanned, unscheduled overtime, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts
• Willingness to work in extreme situations including: hot, cold, and rainy weather, dusty conditions, and a fast paced, high-pressure environment
• Fundamental Computer Skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Self-starting, positive problem-solver always looking for work that needs to be done and ways to improve. Energetic with initiative and enthusiasm that is motivating to others.
• Mobile equipment (forklift/overhead crane) or equivalent experience
• Prior fabrication experience
