Responsibilities:ย 

  • Utilize standard electrical testing equipmentย 
  • Troubleshoot electrical issuesย 
  • Collaborate with and assist other trades departments as neededย 
  • Apply knowledge of policies and procedure followed within the Electrical Division and companyย 
  • Run any size project from start to finishย 
  • Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, and estimatorsย 
  • Strong understanding of turn-key industrial processย 
  • Ability to lead multiple crews on larger projectsย 
  • Train apprentices and journeyman electriciansย 
  • Plan new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications and local electrical codesย 
  • Adhere to company safety standards and proceduresย 

Requirements:ย 

  • Journeyman or Master Electrician license is requiredย 
  • Minimum of 8 yearsโ€™ experience in an industrial electrical roleย 
  • Able to read blueprints and schematics proficiently to determine the scope of work locations, quantities, and sizes of materials requiredย 
  • Understands various aspects of an industrial facility including structural, electrical, plumbing systems, etc.ย 
  • Ability to demonstrate strong knowledge of electrical code and apply it daily while on the jobย 
  • Ability to Install Specialty Systems, Hazardous, Medium Voltage, Building Controlย 
  • Disconnect and Reconnect Manufactured Equipment, Presses, Weld Cellsย 
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in accordance with NEC guidelinesย 

Preferred Requirements:ย 

  • Transformers Medium Voltageย 
  • Medium Voltage Terminationsย 

Equipment & tool experience:ย 

  • Aerial -lift Operation - Boom & Scissor Liftย 
  • Forklift Operation โ€“ Material Handling up to 5000#ย 
  • Basic Operation of trucks and equipmentย 
  • Trailer Loading and securing of construction materialย 
  • Telehandlerย 
  • Skid Steer โ€“ Material Handlingย 
  • Meter usageย 
  • Meggersย 

Rigging Requirements:ย 

  • Signal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety of workers and materials.ย 
  • Use & recognize limitations of chains, synthetic, metal mesh and wire rope slings ย 
  • Use & recognize rigging hardware including hooks, shackles, wire rope clips, clamps, eye bolts, softeners and tag lines ย 
  • Identifies common load configurations & positioningย 
  • Calculate load weightsย 
  • Rigger 2 training โ€“ trains on aboveย 

Physical Requirements:ย 

  • Must be able to ascend/descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and/or operate scissor/boom lifts while working at height.ย ย 
  • Work in permit & non-permit required confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment.ย ย 
  • Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds regularly/occasionallyย ย 
  • Must be able to respond quickly to auditory alarms, visual signals, or other effective means to communicate hazardsย ย 
  • Must be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.ย ย 
  • Must be able to work in cold/hot environments.ย ย 
  • Must be able to traverse irregular and steep terrain.ย
