Job description

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for short term and long term capital project management, determining processing equipment upgrades, assisting production with engineering solutions to technical problems, identify cost savings whether through the manufacturing process or by reduction in utilities usage. This individual will also assist with scrap reduction efforts, unplanned downtime reduction projects and environmental compliance requirements through engineering controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze production workflows to identify and implement process improvements
  • Design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes for new and existing products
  • Provide advanced technical support to production teams to resolve complex manufacturing issues
  • Lead cross-functional projects related to process improvements, equipment installation, and capacity expansion
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Specify, evaluate, and support the installation of manufacturing equipment and tooling
  • Collaborate with vendors and maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability and uptime
  • Utilize data analytics to monitor throughput, production time, scrap rates, and OEE
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process documentation
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree from an accredited institution in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field, OR equivalent years of directly related professional experience in lieu of a degree
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering or a related role
  • Experience in process improvement and production optimization
  • Experience managing capital expenditure projects
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masterโ€™s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or related role
  • Experience in high-speed, high-volume or complex manufacturing environments
  • Experience with reliability programs
