The uniqueness of The Vineta Hotel requires a Housekeeping Room Attendant with personality underscored by the highest degree of people acumen to provide an immaculate housekeeping experience in regard to cleaning, servicing, and maintaining all guest accommodations.

Profile

  • Delight our guests at every interaction, with a genuinely warm presence, friendly, sincere nature, drive for service excellence.

  • Receive and review list of assigned rooms from manager and prioritize rooms requesting early cleaning, securely transport cart with cleaning supplies, amenities, and linens, and service assigned guest rooms ensuring compliance with the company’s elevated expectations and Leading Quality Assurance standards (LQA).

  • Empty trash containers, vacuum floors, remove all dirty terry and replace with clean par to designated layout, remove soil, dirt, soap build-up and hair from bathroom mirrors, vanity, sink, toilet, shower walls, bathtub, shower curtain and floor.

  • Check complimentary coffee, snacks, and toiletry supplies in the room, restocking according to provided hotel checklist and policy.

  • Remove soiled linens, towels, bedspreads, blankets, laundry bags and slips, from each assigned room and provide fresh replacements.

  • Handle guest items with the utmost care and attention to detail.

  • Respectfully knock on the door and announce self before each intervention in the room (cleaning, maintenance, linen delivery, etc.) to ensure that the guest is not present or, when present, that the guest’s privacy is respected.

  • Transport any room service trays/items in guest hallways to the appropriate location.

  • Maintain good relations and communicates effectively with all departments within the hotel to create an atmosphere conducive to teamwork. Work closely with the Front Office, Maintenance, and Food and Beverage to coordinate implementation of rooms, as well as cleaning schedules for special events and high-traffic areas.

  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

  • Wear appropriate clothing/uniform/PPE for the type of cleaning to be conducted.

  • Inspect all furniture for dust, debris, foreign particles, tears, rips and stains and clean/remove/report damages to supervisor. Realign furniture to floor plan.

  • Inspect, dust, and clean pictures frames, mirrors, fire extinguisher boxes, exit signs, air vents, windows, baseboards, corners, ledges, phones, TV and remote, drapes, doors, planters and plants, lamps, light fixtures, and light switches. Polish all brass surfaces to a high gloss.

  • Ensure room meets hotel standards with a final walkaround.

  • Notify maintenance department of needed maintenance or repairs.

  • Ensure security of guest room access and hotel property; check for guest’s property left in the room after checking out and turn over any lost and found items to the supervisor.

  • Ensure completion of all assigned duties and restocking of cart at the end of shift.

  • Ensure that personal appearance and hygiene standards are an example for the team and reflect a professional image for our guests.

What you bring:

  • Minimum 1 year of work experience in a similar capacity with an understanding of luxury hotel standards of service.

  • High school graduate or equivalent vocational training.

  • Must possess a valid, unrestricted, and insurable Florida Driver’s License in a good standing.

  • Able to comprehend, read, write and speak basic English including workplace policies, job instructions, departmental and safety. Ability to clearly communicate with guests and hoteliers.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.

  • Ability to frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and handling objects and equipment; push, pull, grasp, lift or carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
