Responsibilities

Admits, transfers, and discharges patients to and from rooms via the computer system. The duties of this position require the exercise of courtesy and patience in dealing with physicians, nurses, clinical departments, patients, families, and others in order to maintain sound public relations.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • High School diploma or equivalent and one (1) year admitting experience, OR two (2) years office or clerical experience, OR an Associate's degree in Business.
  • Must have completed a medical terminology course or assessment of an 80% or better.
  • Must be able to type a minimum of 30 wpm or better.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate tactfully.
  • PREFERRED

  • B.S. degree in Business.
