Job description

Box Room Material Handler and Machine Operator. Familiar with product codes & packaging requirements associated with each code. Operate a box making machine and be familiar with all tasks in the department. Must be able to set up equipment properly, efficiently, & make adjustments as necessary. Know & complete necessary paperwork associated with machinery & job duties. If applicable, must have knowledge of CFS labeling/scanners & be able to operate properly. Must keep CFS cabinets clean & orderly. Maintain and store packaging materials in a safe and sanitary manner. Follow the written specification for packaging and labeling products. Physically inspects packaging materials for defects. Defects would include but not limited to: foreign matter, rips and/or any damage, missing or incorrect labels Identify and report any suspicious or abnormal situations to immediate supervisor or plant management official. Abnormal situation would be product tampering; willful product adulteration; equipment malfunction that may put product wholesomeness at stake. For material handler, will be responsible for helping check-in and unload deliveries, check inventory, and operate a pallet jack. Must exhibit the Peco-Pocahontas values: Safety, Teamwork, Mutual Respect, Accountability, and Honesty. Must be dependable. Must keep points below 4.5. Perform other duties as assigned. Able to work & rotate on Class I & Class II positions.
