Job Description Summary:

Room Cleaners clock in five minutes before their shift starts. When your shift starts you must have all supplies ready. Room Cleaners focus on making sure carts/closets are restocked before beginning on their assigned floor(s). If no rooms are available to be cleaned, room cleaners help clean public areas. Room Cleaners are required to report any damage/suspicious activity they see. On occasion, you will be asked to work in teams where another room cleaner will overlook your work.

Summary of Housekeeping:

Provide the best in-room experience through our high-level cleaning team service to make all guests feel like part of our Campbellโ€™s Family.

The Housekeeping Department offers exceptional cleaning services in the rooms, conference rooms, restaurant, and public areas. Making sure that those areas are clean and comfortable to receive guests.

Minimum requirements:

  • Ability to make decisions and be adaptable to work in a team in a good working environment.
  • Verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Ability to safely operate machinery (vacuum cleaner).
  • Power and understand service manuals.
  • Be able to carefully load 50 lbs.
  • Move, lift, transport, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than 10 pounds without help.
  • Skills of climbing stairs with loads lifting objects above your head, stooping, kneeling, and stretching carefully.
  • Ability to provide fast service and the ability to maintain your stress.
  • Motivation to serve the public. You can find jobs to do without being constantly supervised.
  • Must possess and be able to maintain a positive and optimistic personality throughout the shift with a passion for excellent customer service.
  • Always have respect for the staff.
  • Flexible and willing to learn to do new jobs.
  • Walk for long periods of time (up to 8 to 10 hours)
  • Good hygiene and personal hygiene.
  • Do not be allergic to cleaning chemicals.
  • Possess the ability to manage your time effectively.
  • Complete the room in detail.
  • Skills to fill documentations in English and Spanish.
  • Must be able to pass a mandatory background check of the company.
  • Be at least 18 years old.

Physical requirements:

  • Walk for long periods of 8 hrs. up to 10 hours.
  • Constantly push, pull, bend, reach, lift, bend, and kneel
  • Able to safely lift 60 lbs.
  • Climbing stairs constantly.

Essential Functions:

  • Get to work in a clean uniform and ready to work.
  • Clock in and fix your work tools to get ready.
  • Clean rooms and other assigned areas. Keep all your work areas clean.
  • Be familiar and follow the procedure in the list of work levels and the housekeeping manual.
  • Be trained in laundry and other areas.
  • Create an atmosphere that makes Campbell a pleasant place to work.
  • Be a team player, showing enthusiasm while helping others.
  • It works in both places; Campbellโ€™s Resort and Midtowner Motel.
  • Cleaning in the rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors in all rooms, cleaning mirrors, bathrooms, walls, tub, cabinet doors, dishes, stoves, ovens and terraces. Change sheets, towels, clean windows inside and outside, take out the trash, recycle, stake what is necessary (check your list of activities).
  • Organize closets and refill the carts.
  • Refill the bottles with liquids, and at the end of the day arrange them in their respective places.
  • Have daily responsibility for your assigned area, including cleaning rooms.
  • Work on both Campbellโ€™s and Midtowner properties with the same standards
  • Answer guest questions. Have knowledge about property services and opportunities at Lake Chelan.
  • Be attentive to the needs of your customers and do whatever it takes to meet those needs.
  • Act as a team member, show motivation and help other employees to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Be a good example for other employees.
  • In the course of your employment, you may be exposed to confidential information related to guests; such information should not be disclosed or discussed with anyone other than your director or Human Resources.
  • At the end of your shift, follow the work standards procedure.
  • Suggest to the manager who is concerned with improving other duties that may be required.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a variable-hour position, expected work hours are based on seasonal volume, business demand, and hours of operation. Weekends, nights, and holidays are also necessary. You must be flexible and willing to adapt to meet business demands.
