Job description

The Roofing Project Manager contributes to ION Solar and Home Services by managing insurance-related roofing projects from start to finish, typically involving storm damage roof replacements or solar lift and replace work. This role bridges sales and project management by taking jobs identified by inside or outside sales representatives as insurance opportunities and ensuring they are closed, managed, and completed successfully.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manage insurance-based roofing projects, including lift-and-replace jobs and full roof replacements.
  • Partner with sales representatives to close roofing opportunities, assist in getting contracts signed, and move projects into production.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for customers while overseeing scheduling, execution, and overall project progress.
  • Coordinate with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams to keep projects on track and within quality standards.
  • Ensure all documentation, permits, and insurance approvals are accurate and complete.
  • Handle escalations and maintain accurate reporting of project status.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong sales aptitude with the ability to close provided leads.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional customer service mindset.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with computers, especially CRM or project management software.
  • Ability to remain professional, calm, and solution-oriented in stressful situations.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
  • Experience in project management, roofing, construction, or insurance claims handling strongly preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in customer facing or sales-related roles.
  • Familiarity with storm restoration, insurance claim processes, or roofing operations is a plus.
